The holidays are literally around the corner. I can smell the turkey cooking. That’s just how close we are. We are still dealing with this pandemic, and many people are still laid off or working limited hours. This is going to be a holiday for the books. With so much uncertainty in this world, we have to figure out how and what we will be purchasing this holiday season. I thought it might be helpful to suggest some budget-friendly stores you can shop from.
We should be focusing more on spending time with our loved ones and less on trying to spend top dollars for gifts that will end up in the corner of homes somewhere. These stores are perfect, you can find some real gems, and you don’t have to break the bank to do it.
Dollar Tree
Now I know you probably think I’m crazy, but Dollar Tree has so many hidden gems. You can find practically anything there for everyone in your family. They have toys for the kiddos, coloring books, and activity books to help them learn. You can find coffee mugs, home decor, dishes, and the list goes on. I even go there to pick up things to decorate my home for the holidays.
The tip for finding some major goodies is to go on the right day. It may be helpful to ask an employee what days new inventory comes in. Another tip is to go before December. Just like any store, they put all the goodies out a month in advance.

Walmart
Now y’all know I had to mention this one. It’s a no-brainer that Walmart is definitely the place to go to get your holiday shopping done. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are a few weeks away, so that you can rack up on some cool items in-store and online. You can find gift sets for an affordable price, and they have so many to choose from. If you plan to hit up Walmart for any Black Friday sales, make a list of things you want. The key here is to stay on budget and not get sucked into spending all of your coins.
Big Lots
If you have one of these stores in the area you live in, then run there now. This store covers everything from furniture, home decor, food, and toys. They have anything you can think of, and everything is super affordable. Please don’t sleep on Big Lots.
Five Below
Five and Below is the perfect place to purchase holiday gifts. You can literally find gifts for 5 dollars, and you can’t beat that with a stick. This store has really stepped it up. You can find home decor, toys, clothes, and gadgets for your electronics. I love this store all year round, but it really helps me stay on budget during this year.
I hope that I have helped you figure out some budget-friendly stores to shop for this holiday season. Leave me a comment below on some other places you can shop to help save money.
