Having Fun In The Sun
Whip out the sunblock and head outside. Having fun this summer doesn’t have to be expensive. We bought a pool for the kiddos for less than $40 bucks. We all had a great time being in the water, spending quality family time together.
There are so many fun things you can do outside. You can buy one of those cheap pools from Walmart and fill it with sand. Get a swing set for the kiddos. I will definitely be buying one for my kids this summer.
If you don’t have a pool, you can buy a sprinkler and let the kids play in the water. Water guns are also a lot of fun. I know y’all remember those huge Nerf guns we all played with during the summer.
Have a day at the beach. You can go out and fill up a small pool with sand, get out the beach towels, and have a backyard barbeque.
Make It A Movie Night
You can stream movies from just about anywhere these days. Netflix is a great option for the perfect movie night. I love the idea of having a movie night at home because you can prepare your own snacks or meal.
You also don’t have to worry about paying for overpriced movie snacks or combo meals. Your kids can laugh or scream as loud as they want, and you don’t have to worry about them disturbing the other movie guest.
I have been loving Amazon Prime and Disney+. They have good movies, and I don’t have to worry about my kids disturbing other people.
Baking Fun
Nothing says summer like baking a fun batch of sweets. This can be an enjoyable activity to do with the kids. It is the perfect way to bond with your love bugs and keeps them from getting bored. This is also a good way to start making memories that will last forever.
My daughter and I love baking cookies. I hope that it will be a tradition that we can continue. If you are not good at baking, there are plenty of sweet dishes that do not require you actually to bake. You make banana pudding or a fruit salad.

Beach Fun From Home
Grab your beach towels and head to the backyard. If you don’t have a pool, you can still have some fun in the sun. Popsicles are a fan favorite in my home. They keep the kids nice and cool and come in a million great flavors. I love sitting out on the patio with a cold glass of lemonade, watching the kids play.
As I mentioned above, a cookout is perfect. If it gets too hot, you can take the beach inside. Minus the sand and the pool, lol.
Bounce House Fun
This last activity is a bit of a splurge. Getting a bounce house can be a bit pricey, but it is still less expensive than going to a water park. You don’t have to wait in long lines or worry about your little ones gets lost in the shuffle.
I hope you try some of these amazing summer activities today, and let me know which ones are your favorite.
