Go through your kid’s clothing items
I think the first order of business is getting rid of clothes that your kids are no longer wearing. My children are younger, so they grow out of their clothes yearly. I date all their old summer, fall, and winter clothes in the springtime. You can donate to your local Goodwill or church. If you are close to Goodwill, you can find a million places to donate.
Another quick tip is to ensure that all the items you donate or give away are clean and that the clothes look presentable. If the clothes are torn or ripped, you may want to throw those items away. If you don’t like the idea of throwing away clothes, you can use some of the old material to make a blanket, lol.
Now that you have donated or gotten rid of your kid’s clothes. You must set up a good organizational system to keep everything nice and neat. Fold and hang up all clothing articles so you can quickly get to your kid’s items. Gather all their clothes and group items that go together. For example, put all the shorts and the short-sleeved shirts together. It makes finding clothes so much easier when they are all grouped.
Sort through your kid’s toys
Are most of your kid’s toys in the corner collecting dust? Do they have toys that they have outgrown? Use this spring cleaning time to go through all the toys your kiddos don’t play with. I’m not too fond of throwing things away unless they are broken. I would suggest selling or donating those items. Please make sure to wipe down and sanitize all items.

Rearrange your kid’s room
Rearranging a room can do miracles. I know a room can feel cluttered if the furniture is not placed correctly. I like to play around with the furniture until I find the best setup for my kids.
Room Organization
You can change the bedding or remove furniture that no longer serves a purpose. Adding light a d airy curtains allows more light to come in and instantly brightens the room. You can also t taking out too bulky furniture, which takes up too much space.
Revamp old routines
This is also a great time to revamp old routines. Maybe your kid’s bath and nighttime routine are no longer working for you. It’s ok to switch or incorporate new habits into an old routine. I like to switch up my routines according to the seasons. I keep a lot of the same habits but tweak them and make subtle changes. For example, in the summer, I may allow my kiddos to stay up an hour longer because of the Spring’s time change. You can do whatever works for your family.
If you don’t have any routines, this would be a good time to incorporate one. Children love r tines and feel secure when they know what will happen daily. Putting them to bed at 7:30 pm one night and 10:00 pm the following night makes it difficult for them to know when it’s truly time to sleep. Setting up a routine does not have to be complicated. Stick with a set routine for a couple of weeks to test it out. If it doesn’t work, try something different.
Get medical records in order
This is an essential step in organizing your kid’s life. Make sure that all their medical information is up to date. Have you moved recently? Go ahead and let their pediatrician know about any changes. Most times, doctors’ offices are good at keeping up with this.
Keep all their medical records in one place. This would be an excellent time to get a filing system for your kid’s things. A planner is also g at keeping up with daily tasks and important dates.
