Refresh your bedding
If you don’t have a lot of time to spend on cleaning your home this spring, that’s ok. I’m going to help you save time and your sanity.
We are going to start with refreshing your bedding. Cleaning your bedding can be as simple as washing the sheets, the fitted sheets, and the comforters. Now I know you are saying, “I’m a busy mom. I don’t have time to wash all my bedding.
Girl, if you don’t have time to wash all the bedding in your home, then you can go out and buy new bedding items. You will eventually have to clean all the old bedding, lol. I’m just trying to save you time.
You can also designate days to wash certain items. Pick one day out of the week when you don’t have a lot going on and use that as the day to tackle washing all the sheets and comforters.
I also love using Gove Collaborative products for cleaning my home. The products are all-natural and safe for the kiddos. I have been using all their products for years and if you want to snag your hands on some of their spring goodies you can follow the link below.

When in doubt, throw it out
Y’all know I hate throwing things away. If it can be sold or donated, I’m all for it. To help save you time, when in doubt, throw it out.
Now you may be thinking, throw what out? Throw out anything broken and not functioning anymore. Do you have clothing items that are ripped and worn? How about old appliances that are no longer working.
I used to be the queen of holding on to broken and worn-out things. I would have all the intentions of making them work or finding a use for them. Don’t be like me; some things must go in the trash.
Do a quick decluttering
Notice I said a quick decluttering. This is the perfect time to go into your pantry or fridge and get rid of expired food items.
After doing laundry, go ahead and put the clothes in the drawers, and get rid of any too-small clothes. Pass along clothing that you are no longer wearing.
Whenever I put my kid’s clothes away, I quickly evaluate what they have and take out items that I know I will donate or give away.
AMAZING TIPS FOR ORGANIZING YOUR KIDS LIFE
Get your carpet or rugs cleaned
Having the carpet cleaned instantly refreshes your home. Now, this is something that can be inexpensive if you find the right carpet cleaning company.
If you are low on funds, you can rent a carpet cleaner and tackle the job yourself. I know some of you are too busy to do the job, it can be something that hubby or a friend can help you with.
If you have small rugs, try putting them in the washing machine and laying them out to dry. Larger rugs can be taken to the cleaners or cleaned with a carpet cleaning machine.
Out with old in with the new
You don’t have to go out and buy all new stuff for your home. Try refreshing your home with some new items. Please get rid of that old couch you had since college and replace it with a new one. If you want to be more budget-friendly, you can change old lamps, rugs, curtains, and decor pieces.
Have a decor swap out. If you have fallen out of love with some of your decor pieces, you can swap out decor with your friends and family. We all have that one family member that loves to raid our home for new decor finds, lol.
HOW TO KEEP YOUR HOME ORGANIZED
To make things fun, you can throw a small party. Everyone should bring decor pieces that they want to get rid of, and you all can exchange decor pieces amongst each other.
Organize what you can
I know that you are a busy mom, and time is limited. You should organize what you can. Take it one room at a time. Break down your organizational tasks into small chunks. For example, Monday can be a day to organize your pantry, Tuesday can be a closet clean-out day. Don’t stress yourself if you can’t get it all done at once.
I can’t stress enough how organizational bins have changed my life. You can easily fit almost anything into a bin and it instantly makes a space look neat and clean.
Hire someone to spring clean your home
You don’t have to do it all. You can hire a company to be deep clean your entire house or clean the areas you don’t have time to clean. If it’s in your budget, you can hire someone on a weekly or monthly basis.
I want to start having a company come out and clean my house once a month to focus on the upkeep. It can be a little exhausting to go around dusting ceiling fans and window treatments.
