Mommy Must-haves
You want to pack things you know you will use without getting caught up in the cutesy stuff. Bring things like a comfortable set of pajamas. The hospital will provide you with one of their gowns, and honestly, you may be so drained that you might choose to sport that the whole time you are there.
I only changed my clothes when it was time to go home. Do whatever makes you comfortable. I will list an example of things you may want to consider.

- Hospital sandals (I bought the cheap foam sandals and used them when I took a shower. I didn’t want my feet to touch the bathroom and shower floor.
- Extra pairs of underwear ( The hospital will provide these as well)
- Toothbrush/Toothpaste
- Washcloths/Dry off towels
- Comfortable pair of clothing and going home outfit (Something loose and breathable, especially if you have a C-Section. A pair of leggings is fine if you want a little support in the tummy area but remember not to be too tight.
- As strange as it sounds, bring some lip balm. You will thank me later (your lips will be extra dry).
- Tuck’s pads ( the hospital should have you covered, but they may charge your hospital bill for additional postpartum care)
- Bring your own body care items (include a hairbrush and hair ties)

Now we have arrived at the fun part. Planning on what to bring for your baby can be fun and overwhelming at the same time. You don’t want to pack too many things, and at the same time, you don’t want to forget anything important.
Most hospitals have you covered when taking care of your baby while at the hospital. All you have to do is bring the car seat and a change of clothes; I will still give you a few things you may want to consider.
- A few outfits ( one for pictures and a going home outfit)
- A warm blanket
